Established real estate development firm seeking Development Analyst
Fast paced, dynamic, downtown New York City based real estate development firm that owns and operates residential and commercial real estate is seeking an Analyst for its Development group. This position will provide support directly to the Managing Director.
Job details include providing analytical support for the existing projects and the acquisition of potential investments including market analysis, planning, repositioning, and development of commercial and residential real estate projects. Financial modeling and modification of complex, integrated project cash flows, to help determine project feasibility, project equity & debt requirements, establish capital and operating budgets, calculate project IRR, NPV and revenue/expense sensitivities. Additional responsibilities would include coordinating internal and external resources: leverage the necessary resources for completing acquisition and asset management projects, including interfacing with personnel from property management, accounting and their vendors.
The ideal candidate will have a University degree and at least one year work experience at an investment bank, private equity firm, large real estate company, real estate advisor or consulting organization, or similar entities. We are looking for someone with experience and understanding of financial modeling utilizing Excel, including structuring cash flow models calculating cash-on-cash yield, IRR analysis, sources & uses of funds, discounted cash flow valuations, and profit distribution waterfall.
The work environment is very entrepreneurial. Any candidate must be a self starter with the ability to work in an unstructured environment, be well organized; possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
