Aside from his role as an Agent, Mr. Nelson is involved in other avenues of the industry.  He teaches at New York University as an adjunct professor for its continuing education program. Silverstone's Acquisition Team is currently focused on multifamily properties in Manhattan with a deal size up to $30M. During the internship period, the candidate will work with the team to find new deals, as well as learn how to size potential acquisitions.<br />
In support of the Property Management Team, the intern will look for new buildings for Silverstone Property Group to property manage. In this role, the intern will learn what a property manager does, gaining experience in everything from book keeping and Yardi management software, to dealing with property management issues. The property management intern will work to develop new business by finding buildings for the company to manage.</p>

Silverstone Property Group is flexible with when and how much you work, but are looking for people that want to be here. Although interns are not paid hourly, the position offers a very big upside in terms of compensation if you do well. Not only is a fulltime job a possibility, but any property you find that we acquire as a direct result of your work, or any new property management contract we sign as a directly result of your work, we will compensate you with a % of the acquisition cost or income generated. </p>

Previous experience in Real Estate or a Real Estate related field in NOT required, however preference will be given to those who have a track record in the business or in sales. • Proficiency in Excel and Word. Argus experience preferred but not required.<br />
• Candidate for Bachelors degree, preferably with a concentration in finance, accounting, or real estate. </p>

In 1997, he turned to real estate and gained valuable experience as a title closer. From there he built relationships and implemented his capabilities into the sale of investment properties. In 1998, Mr. Donovan joined Massey Knakal to head up the firm's first full-service outer borough office. The office, which opened in February 1999, has gone from a two-person start-up to a flourishing establishment more than 10 times its original size. Some other notable accolades include Mr. Donovan was awarded the Salesman of the Year Award from Massey Knakal in 2000, 2001 and 2008. During these years he was also honored with the award for Outstanding Business Development and Goodwill Promotion. In 2005, Mr. Donovan was named to the prestigious Crain's New York Business' 40 Under 40 list for his outstanding achievement in the New York City business community. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Donovan's personal philanthropic efforts are numerous. He was appointed to the Board of Directors for the William H. Casey Foundation in June 2002; is in the Associate Board for the Parker Jewish Institute For Health Care and Rehabilitation; is a member of the VFW Catholic War Veterans; and is a member of the Columbus Citizens Foundation, a non-profit organization in New York City committed to fostering an appreciation of Italian-American heritage and achievement. In 2008, Mr. Donovan also accepted a spot on the Board of Directors for The Brain Tumor Foundation. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Varadi Ovarian Initiative for Cancer Education (VOICE). <br />

<p>Preliminary list includes:</p>

<p>•	Input neighborhood, zoning texts and tax maps into computer <br />
•	Develop marketing flyers, due diligence material and property overviews using PowerPoint.<br />
•	Research commercial property details using several databases and on-line sources.<br />
•	Track and compile commercial real estate transactions within a defined territory using on-line database tools.<br />
•	Update and maintain mailing list.<br />
•	Take pictures of all lots in assigned territory.<br />
•	Creating postcards & various marketing materials<br />
•	Compiling mailing lists & sending out mailers<br />
•	Creating & maintaining Comparable Sales data	<br />
•	Searching for and recording Available listings <br />
•	Administrative duties including: answering phones, managing calendar & contacts </p>

<p>Job Qualifications/Requirements:</p>

<p>•	Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Powerpoint<br />
